Alex told me to write a ballad so I did and it became this song. It’s not about Alex though, it’s about a a one night stand (or two) I had and the fleeting feelings of attachment that intimacy sometimes brings. Often there are strings that become tangled with closeness, and this song reminds oneself to unravel the knot of attachment with self reflection and accept that it is possible to have a close connection with a stranger if only for a moment.
